Barry Green, Chairman
Barry spent the first part of his career with KPMG, initially in the Benelux and then in Germany. As a partner in Germany he specialised in mergers and acquisitions. In 1988, he joined the Man Group, now the world’s largest listed hedge fund. At Man Group, Barry was a main board director responsible for Group finance and reporting, and, operationally for non-core businesses. He then moved to become the CEO of Man’s European Coffee Roasting division, expanding into Eastern Europe, creating amongst other successes one of the leading coffee brands in Poland.
In 2003, Barry was appointed finance director of August Storck KG, one of Europe’s largest confectionery businesses. Prior to becoming finance director, Barry ran sales and marketing for the group initially in Eastern Europe and latterly Western Europe, excluding Germany.
Barry has strong experience of international tax and structured finance. Since 2007 he has devoted time as a private investor in the renewable energy sector as well as other businesses in Europe and North America.
